Time to deposit a few of the blogging fragments that have been rolling around in my brain for the past week (or longer). Got some fragments of your own to dump? In addition to the faith-based sessions at the Relevant Conference there were a number of “savvy blogging and social media” type sessions of which I took advantage. One of the speakers was talking about blog design, page layout, etc, and she expressed the opinion that our headers should be 120 pixels or less. The purpose for this is to make sure that you have content (and paid ads if you have any) above the fold. In other words you shouldn’t have to scroll down to find the beginning of the blog content. Where Do I Even Begin ….

After a season in which I have struggled mightily THIS has been a week of abundant blessings! I heard from J. I had fun traveling to Kansas City with Bert. I LOVED the train! Meeting Stacy has been amazing! We could truly be best IRL friends if we lived closer. And Relevant? There aren’t words big enough to describe Relevant and the impact that it is having on my mind and heart! But I promise … I will try to describe it for you soon. I’m going to finish enjoying it first! J called Monday night while we in Kansas City. Woke me from a VERY sound sleep so I don’t remember a whole lot of what he said. I do recall that his friend and roommate indicated that J had bad enough altitude sickness at one point on the trek that they were afraid they would lose him. Just a quick check in …

before I head to a bath and off to bed. I’m all packed and as ready as I can be for my great adventure. Still wondering what insanity made me think this was a good idea … and trusting that it will be AMAZING! I went to work (all alone in the office) for several hours today to try to give my co-workers a little jump start since they will be covering for me at a busy time of year. I had recently downloaded a lot of my favorite Contemporary Christian songs from iTunes so I cranked those up on my computer and worshiped while I worked. It occurred to me part way through the day that my heart is ready for a revival of sorts … so Relevant comes at a perfect time. I am a bit concerned about how I will manage all my bags through Chicago and Pittsburgh. When I made my reservations they asked if I would need baggage assistance. I said I didn’t know.
