Did you pop over here to say “hi” and immediately think you must have clicked on the wrong link or something because it looks so different? Sorry about that! You may have to bear with me while I figure out exactly what it is that I want my “brand” to look like!

Although I have, and plan to continue, 2 blogs (because I am just too doggone wordy to be limited to one), I want them to be, and look, somewhat similar. Same theme … different focus.  I really like the image (The Clay) that was in my header before but I needed to limit my use of it because I didn’t own it.  So I’ve been on the lookout for something that I could use more widely.  I still like the art/pottery theme … even though I am not, and probably never will be, an artist. Yesterday I found 2 images that I liked.

The pot and brush I like but they are perhaps a little too art themed. The little girl at the pottery wheel just spoke to me. Unfortunately she spoke in green and I was kind of married to blue! I found a black and white line drawing version of the image and asked around to see if someone might be willing to color it in blue tones for me.  That is still a possibility. In the meantime … I decided to play with green. And I think I like the lighter, brighter look that I have wound up with!

I also played with various background possibilities and just LOVED this one! Whether or not it works with this theme I’m not so sure but I do love the image! The flower-power-esque daisies on the right and wild greenery on the left. It is probably more me than anything else around here … except the words! Those are all me all the time!

Am I content now? Will I leave it alone? … I kind of doubt it! LOL! I enjoy fiddling with these behind the scenes aspects of blogging. But I do know, as Les reminded me, that y’all are here to visit me … not to look at my graphics!

So … what do you think? Aside from the fact that it’s loading slow. Trying to figure that out. I just seem to have a propensity towards plug-ins, images, and CSS coding that make my website crawl. I’m glad y’all love me enough to tolerate it! (Maybe it’s something on my end. Just checked it with Pingdom Tools and it flew! Nope … that was a fluke! Both of my blogs are slowed down by CSS Indexing … whatever that means! If you know how to fix it … please share!)
